[matter]HYLE (they/them) present Hypnopompic by artist Maria Georgoula, with recent and past works.

Absurd theatre, satirical texts, pet shops and DIY centres are regular points of study for her practice. Maria Georgoula’s work ultimately aims to embody overlooked comfort zones, consumerist fixations and entanglements between the self and the material realm.
Her presentation accompanies a lyrical essay Opening in Absurdity by Lydia Adoniou.
